As the costs of coinage materials increases, and the value of coins decreases, there is a need for more cost effective alternatives.  One of the greatest challenges is how to provide lower cost "white" coins, as the current market uses substantial amounts of expensive materials to achieve that color.  At Jarden Zinc Products, we recognized the customer’s need and developed an effective solution.

Building upon our 30 year history with copper plated zinc, with its cost advantages and proven performance, we concluded that we could enhance this technology by adding a white, top plated layer of tin.  The small amount of white metal added little cost to achieve the desired color.

The product offers exceptional cost competitiveness and coinability, with acceptable wear performance.
